CAMPING BACK IN THE BUSH

While a few creature comforts were welcome at the Burdekin Dam,  it was good to get back in the bush again and away from sealed roads and civilisation.
Bell Creek crossed the entrance to Myall Springs and had a good flow of water which made a good camp

Plenty of grazing for the horses beside Bell Creek

Percy Douglas Creek - another good camp

Smoko stop beside the dam

The steep climb down the Leichhardt Range was rewarded by
a camp by this creek....known only as major creek.
A storm rolled in that afternoon.
A morning drink before heading off.

Warning sign beside yet another grid.
Story goes that this warning was much more
effective than the previous "No Shooting" sign.
